What We Do

Our Kiwanis Club of Independence is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide. Our largest fundraising event is the annual Down on the Farm Trivia Brunch. Proceeds from this fundraiser support local organizations and the college scholarship fund offered to local students. Some of the service events we participated in are The Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Independence School District Project Shine and picking up litter in local parks.

Check Presentation to Community Services League
Kiwanians partnered with A Little BBQ Joint restaurant with our BBQ Blast event to raise funds supporting the Community Services League.

College Scholarships

Our Kiwanis club raises funds for college scholarships every year through fundraisers such as its Down on the Farm Trivia Brunch held in October. Students in the Independence community may apply by completing an application that is distributed among the high schools each year.
